IRAQ

Barack Obama:

One problem the Obama sees is that too many troops have died in the war, but our government hasn't helped to lead the Iraqi government.
Another problem that Obama sees is that the army is out of balance by the demand of troops being to high
Another problem that Obama thinks we have is that we have ignored the Afganistan war too much while we were fighting in Iraq.
Also, he thinks the war has lasted too long.
Part of his plan is to slowly and carefully pull the troops a out of Iraq and end the war.
He also plans on working with the Iraqi government so that they can work toward independance and stability.
Obama will work toward preventing a humanitarian crisis in Iraq by giving them $2 billion to help refugees.


John McCain:

McCain believes that America should help work with Iraq on governing themselves and he feels that America should not withdraw their troops before they reach that point.
He believes that it would be a mistake to leave before Al Qaeda is defeated.
He thinks that if we withdrew troops then we would have to go back and then it would turn into a more costly war.
He thinks that the surge was a success in Iraq and that it helped the Iraqi government start to build itself back up.
McCain believes that we should take part in supporting elections more.
He wants to take some of our budget to help the economy of Iraq and increase the number of jobs available.
He also wants to get Syria and Iran to change their behavio toward Iraq.
