Barack Obama:

Barack Obama and Joe Biden believe that America must secure its borders by adding personnel, infrastructure, and technology.Obama would like to keep families together by increasing the number of legal immigrants, which would mean fixing the broken immigration system. An Obama/Biden administration believes in a system that allows illegal immigrants to pay a fine, learn English, then go to the end of the line in waiting for citizenship. Eventually, Barack Obama would like work with Mexico to develop a better economy there, therefore decreasing illegal immigrants in the states.

John McCain:

John McCain believes that America's immigration system is broken, and that there is an easy two-step way to fix it. The first step is to secure the borders. John McCain will do this by setting clear guidelines to secure the border, ensure that adequate funding is provided, implementing sound policies, deploying unmanned air crafts where needed, and continue US-VISIT security program. The second step in McCain's plan, is to have, COMPREHENSIVE IMMIGRATION INITIATIVES FOR A SECURE NATION. this includes prosecuting "bad actor" employers, meeting America's labor needs, addressing the undocumented, and eliminating the family backlog.
